Not able to see the EFF attributes on sales order approval

Issue : Not able to see the EFF attributes

 

What to do :

BPM work list  or

Manage Task Configurations for Supply Chain Management

If the flex fields setup has been modified recently, Please follow the below steps to synchronize the EFF, such that they are available in the Manage Order Approval Rules task.

1. In the BPM Worklist area, search for SalesOrder, then click ApprovalHumanTask.
2. GoTo General Tab --> Click on pencil icon (edit view), If you have modified your flex field set up, then you will see a warning message with "Start Synchronization" button(see in attached screen shot).
3. Click on "Start Synchronization" button to synchronize the EFF, this will take some time to complete and message will be disappeared.
4. Click on save and then commit, You will now retrieve the attribute in Manage Order Approval Rules.

Auto depletion of the inventory for the sales order interfaced from the POS in oracle fusion

Use case: Oracle cloud Order management is implemented to any Supermarket like Walmart etc. in which all sales happened as POS. and on periodic basis it will be interfaced to the source systems in that case, we can use the below option as already sale is done and only we need to deplete the inventory for books and tracking.


Setups

1.      01. OM opt-in feature enabled> Order management 

Reduce Inventory when a sales order does not require picking and shipping >  Enabled

Process Inventory Transaction Lines as a Group  : Yes / No based on customer requirement

Creating a Value set for the supplier’s name as LOV

 

Creating a Value set for the supplier’s name as LOV for which in DFF we have done restriction to display only 120 characters only:  (Use the Substring function while creating Value set.)

 

The value set BSP_VENDOR_NAME cannot be assigned to the global segment Vendor. (FND-2627)
In application 667 and descriptive flexfield QP_PRICE_LIST_CHARGES_FLEX, value set BSP_VENDOR_NAME cannot be assigned to global segment Vendor which uses column ATTRIBUTE_CHAR1. The assigned value set must have a data type that is compatible with the column data type and its maximum length must be no longer than the column length and its validation type must not be view object.

Solution:

Process of Importing Manufacturers in Oracle cloud

The purpose of this document is to explain the step by step process of Importing Manufacturers in Oracle cloud. As compared to other data elements, Manufacturers cannot be imported by usual File-based Data import (FBDI) functionality or through Import Batches (specific to PDH). In earlier releases Manufacturers were imported through Oracle Sales Cloud Process using “Manage File Import Mappings” and “Manage File Import Activities” task from Setup and Maintenance. However, starting from 21A release, the process has changed and now Import Management workarea is used for bulk import of Manufacturers. Import Management improves definition, error handling, and performance for importing flat files (.CSV). For example, Import Management has drag and drop mapping capabilities and validates the first ten records in your data file before you import to ensure the data meets the import constraints of the various attributes. Following are the steps to bulk import Manufacturers in Oracle Cloud:

Step: 1 Go to Navigator and click on Import Management under Tools. Here search for Organizations under Import Objects tab. Click on download button to download the import template.


Step: 2 The downloaded template which is a Comma Separated Values(.CSV) file has to be populated with the Manufacturer’s data that needs to be imported. Below is the reference mapping for the required attributes. The Spreadsheet will contain many other fields which can be removed as it is needed for the Manufacturer import.



Save the .CSV file once all the data is populated as shown below in sample screen shot:



Step: 3 Now to import the data, click on “Create Import Activity” and create a new import. Select object as “Organization” and upload the saved spreadsheet from the previous step



Click on Next and select “Automatic Mapping”. Validate the data and then click on submit when ready.


Step: 4 After submitting the process, check the status under Import Queue tab. Click All Imports and search for the import activity that you created earlier. Check the Status column for the import activity. The import is successful if the status displays as Completed. You can drill down on the import activity to go to the Import Status page which provides the status details of the import activity


Step: 5 After the process is complete, navigate to Product Information Management work area and go to “Manage Trading Partner” task to validate the imported Manufacturers. Click on Edit Trading Partners and search for the imported Manufacturers


Points to Remember:

 • Don't submit duplicate import jobs for the same import object as they create duplicate object records.

• Don't import more than 100,000 records in a single import operation or perform more than five concurrent import activities

Not seeing serial number: No able to see the serial number in the Manage Item Quantities

You can do is as below 


 Query item which you want to view serial > navigate to the sub inventory and below serial number will highlight, and click on the below Query by Example

You can quickly search for serial number information on the Manage Item Quantities page by using the Query by Example functionality.

  1. From the Inventory Management work area, select the Manage Item Quantities task.
  2. Search for an item.
  3. Select the Serial Number Details tab.
  4. Click the Query by Example icon in the toolbar to enable the Query by Example search framework.

    A blank filter row appears immediately above the Serial Number column. Use this row to filter your serial numbers.

  5. Search for your specific serial number or a group of serial numbers by entering a partial or complete serial number in the filter row and pressing Enter.

    Serial numbers matching the serial number or partial serial number you entered display.

Manage Resource > sales person assign > reference data set LOV is null or Sales person LOV is null in the sale order lines

 

ISSUE: 

Under Manage Resources > Search a Employee>under sale person tab > LOV for referense data set is null



Resolution 

1.  Security Console -> Roles -> Search for  Accounts Receivables Manager &  copy role

2. Edit -> click on Add Function Security Policy-> Manage Trading Community Resource Sales Representative Information -

3. Click on Create Data Security Policy (the Start date  need to be past date)

Policy name: Grant on SetId for Resources

Data Resource: SetID Set
Privilege: Manage Trading Community Salesperson Setup; View Trading Community Salesperson Setup;
Condition: All values

4. Add the Users you need to this new role -> Next -> Submit and Close

5. Administration - > Role status -> appear as Complete

6. search for the user and double check to make sure it has been assigned with the new role

7. Now login with the user that has been assigned with the new role -> Setup and Maintenance -> Manage Resources

8. Organizations Tab (enter Role = Salesperson and the Organization as per your requirements)

9. Roles Tab (assign the Salesperson Role)

10. Salesperson Tab -> expand the Set LOV -> the data sets will show up.

11. Save.



Add access to the reference data set as > Enterprise set.


Perquisites :

Assign Resource to the organization

For employee assign the sale person / sale Manager role 

Assign Data access to use for the reference data set : Enterprise 

* Make sure under the BU functions access set the sale person reference set are same a Enterprise set.

Sold to legal entity on the PO need to be derived based on the inventory org/ ship-to location and not based on requisition / procurement BU

 

Requirement one BU and multiple LE 

we can easily achieve with below 2 steps 


you want to do all the PO transaction in one BU and do reporting in multiple LE based on SHIP-TO locations below is the illustration 

 Inv org1 - MGBU1 - LE1 ( PCBU1)

Inv org2 - MGBU1 - LE2 ( PCBU2)

Inv org3 - MGBU1 - LE3 ( PCBU3)


Note: in the above case your each of the INV org is associated with the different legal entity & PCBU 

SO all you costing will be decentralized

always the costing is at LE level, so we need to define as many cost org like as many LEs.

Step1:

st. ·        Go to Task --> Configure Requisitioning Business Function for the management BU (MGBU1)

Make sure attribute:  Multiple Legal Entities on Order " as Error 

which means we are deriving the sold to legal entity based on the shipto location 

if it is set to other options " Allow" or "Warning" then it mean it is based on Requisition BU.


Step2:

 ·        Go to Task -->Manage Inventory Organizations

create a inventory org : Inv org1

select attribute : Management Business unit  as MGBU1

select attribute : Legal entity  as LE1

Select attribute : profit Centre Business unit as PCBU1 

( note : Below steps already defined 

01. define a PCBU1  using task : Manage Business unit 

02. Assign LE to the Business unit using task: Assign manage Business unit functions and assign BU with LE with  Check box enabled for the  below legal entity

03. Task: Manage Inventory locations 

Create a location which as INV1 and assign the inventory org INV org1 to this location)




Steps for checking 

create a Requisition in MEBU1

select delivery location as INV1 

Task:  Process requisition 

select Requisition and added to document builder 

create PO for the Requisition selected

select Supplier whose site is pay site linked to MEBU1

we can see that sold to BU as PCBU1.

new Inventory org created, not coming in sales order line for selection, not able to see in LOV while creating ATP rule etc....

 when a new inventory org is created which is manufacturing or not below steps are need to be followed to make sure collections picks the INV org.

INV org is not collected and not able to select org on the sales order lines, GOP (ATP Rules etc)


Validate each step mentioned at below note on your new Inventory org ,

How to resolve warehouse / organization lov empty issue ? (Doc ID 2485000.1)

 

 1. Verify whether the organization is collected or not. This can be done by checking in the below navigation.

Supply Chain Planning --> Plan Inputs --> Maintain Supply Network Model --> Search the organization here

If you do not find the organization, then it is not collected and then the further steps should be followed to debug the issue.

2. Verify whether your organization is enabled for collections.

Go to Task --> Manage Planning Source Systems

Click 'Manage Organization List' --> Refresh Organization List --> Enable the new Organizations for collections

Save and Close

Go to Task --> 'Collect Planning Data' submit the program for Entities Organizations and Calendars

Retest the issue


About step is enough if your inventory org is not a manufacturing org and calendar is defined correctly

If you are still facing the issue, then please proceed with the below checks.

3. Verify the calendar setup

Go to Task --> Manage Work Workday Patterns --> length in days should be 7

If you have set this up incorrect, then Please follow the below steps to correct it.

Create new work day pattern with length in days as 7.

Associate this new work day pattern to the schedule which is already linked to the inventory organizations (Manage Facility Schedules)

Delete the association of old work day pattern

Go to Task --> 'Collect Planning Data' submit the program for Entities Organizations and Calendars

Retest the issue

If you are still facing the issue, then please proceed with the below checks.


Below step is need if INV org is a MFG org.

4. Verify if your organization is a Manufacturing plant

Go to Task --> Mange Inventory Organizations --> Organization Parameters --> verify whether it is a Manufacturing plant or not

If it is a Manufacturing plant, then please follow the below steps

Go to Task --> Manage Plant Parameters --> Select the Manufacturing Calendar and fill in other mandatory fields

Go to Task --> 'Collect Planning Data' submit the program for Entities Organizations and Calendars

Retest the issue
